Abstract:
The Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SBUV) on Nimbus 7 mainly measures
albedos at 12 selected wavelengths in the UV spectrum for the purpose of deriving atmospheric ozone. In the spectral scan mode, however, it measures solar irradiances and earth radiances from 160 to 400 nm in 0.2-nm steps, with a 1.1-nm half-width triangular bandpass.
