Abstract: ABSTRACT: The Magnesium II information is extracted daily from the GOME-2 1B granules, as soon as new solar radiance measurements are available. The product includes a 61-wavelength subset of the daily solar spectrum and a Mg II core-to-wing ratio for the spectrum. Quality ATTRIBUTE ACCURACY REPORT: Product is made daily, as soon as a new MgII measurement is made. The index is validated by looking at the trend compared with previous index values. Expected range of MgII index is 0.20 to 0.30, with accuracy 1 percent.
