Abstract:
The Teddington surface data resides in 2 books, 'Teddington, England, National Physical Laboratory Report (1901-1910)' (C/de35 A1). Data contained in these books are tables of hourly, daily, monthly and annual surface weather data for Teddington England during the period 1901 to 1910. The tables contain hourly data determined for a period for absolute maximum and minimum pressure, wind speed, and direction, and determined individually for wind speed and direction. Tables contain daily data, determined for a period for mean wind speed and direction; and absolute maximum and minimum pressure, temperature, and precipitation. Tables contain the following monthly data, determined for a period: mean pressure, temperature, cloudiness, wind speed and direction and vapor pressure; mean maximum and minimum pressure, and temperature; absolute maximum and minimum pressure, temperature, precipitation, wind direction and speed, and sunshine; total precipitation. Tables contain annual data, determined for a period for total precipitation. The Richmond surface data resides in 2 books, 'Kew Observatory Report (1885, 1894-1895, 1897)' (C/de 75 Aok). These books contain tables of hourly, daily and monthly surface weather data for Richmond, England for 1885, 1894-1895 and 1897. Tables contain the following hourly data, determined individually: vapor tension; maximum and minimum pressure; AND absolute maximum and minimum temperature. Tables contain daily data, determined individually for absolute maximum and minimum precipitation and sunshine. Tables contain the following monthly data, determined individually: mean pressure, temperature, and cloudiness; mean maximum and minimum temperature; absolute maximum and minimum precipitation and sunshine; total precipitation and sunshine; and number of days with winds from each direction. These books are part of the foreign meteorological data collection held by the NOAA Central Library in Washington, DC. Information in this collection dates back to the 18th century for daily, monthly, seasonal, and annual tabular summaries, and the 19th century for weather maps. These data are the result of foreign exchange agreements, but the collection has not been updated since 1983. |
