Summary
Abstract: FY-2 is China?s geostationary meteorological satellite. The fourth satellite (FY-2D) of this series was successfully launched on December 8, 2006 and was located at 86.5E over the equator. The major payload of the satellite is the Visible and Infrared Spin Scan Radiometer (VISSR).
