Summary
Abstract: FY-2 is China’s geostationary meteorological satellite. The fourth satellite (FY-2D) of this series was successfully launched on December 8, 2006 and was located at 86.5°E over the equator. The major payload of the satellite is the Visible and Infrared Spin Scan Radiometer (VISSR).
