Altitude of the top of the gray limestone aquifer, southern Florida, USGS WRIR 99-4213 figure 14Entry ID: USGS_SOFIA_glime_alttop_arc
Abstract: The top of the gray limestone aquifer is shallowest in Collier and Hendry Counties and slopes to the southeast and east. The altitude of the top of the gray limestone aquifer generally ranges between sea level and 100 ft below sea level in the study area. The map shows the altitude of the top of the gray limestone aquifer in feet bwelow sea level. The contour interval is 50 feet.
The purpose of this report is to evaluate the hydrogeologic framework, hydraulic properties, and ground-water flow of the gray limestone aquifer in southern Florida. The report also emphasizes the geologic framework (stratigraphy and structure) and the hydrogeologic framework (aquifers and confining and semiconfining units) above and below the gray limestone aquifer.
