Summary
Abstract: Oxygen isotopic values have been obtained from microsamples of the
aragonitic freshwater bivalves Sphaerium striatinum (Pisidiidae) and
Anodonta grandis (Unionidae) alive from Wellington Creek, Ohio. To
test whether these organisms secrete their shell in isotopic

and the presence of 17O. Calibration and precision of the analyses
were monitored by daily analysis of standards NBS-18 and NBS-19. It
