Abstract:
Global Ten-day mean Cloud Amount:
The product include the global Ten-day mean total cloud amount, and Ten-day mean high cloud amount products.Total cloud amount means the ratio between the radiation of cloud pixels and all pixels in certain region.The value is between 0 and 100,0 means clear sky,100 means cloud sky;High cloud mean the percent of high cloud in the certain region,the value is between 0 and 100.This product is the mean of ten days data,and the unit is %. Purpose: Global Ten-day mean Cloud Amount: The cloud products are being used to improve understanding and modeling of the role of clouds in climate, with the primary focus being the elucidation of the effects of clouds on the radiation balance. These data can also used to support many other cloud studies, including understanding of the hydrological cycle.
