Earth System Science Workbench: Global Net Primary Production Data Products

Summary

Abstract: Global net primary production fields will be made available through
the Earth System Science Workbench (ESSW). The fields will be
synthesized from ocean remote sensing (currently AVHRR; eventually
SeaWiFS and MODIS) and a land biosphere model (SIB2).

The ESSW is designed to help bridge the separation between a research
and a data-production computing environment. It seamlessly integrates
into existing heterogeneous (i.e., multi-platform), distributed (i.e.,
internetworked) research computing environments, and, with minimal
added support, allows the research processes in that environment to
be easily made available to others.
