Antarctic Coastal Ecology
Entry ID:
ACE
Summary
Abstract:
Objectives:
• To assess the structure and functioning of the Antarctic coastal ecosystem and the relationships between marine and terrestrial biota. • To assess the origin of organic matter and minerals in the Antarctic coastal ecosystem and the pathways of organic matter and minerals between the coastal marine and terrestrial systems. Purpose: The vegetation structure of coastal vegetation both emerged and submerged is studied. Species diversity, biomass, photosynthesis of key species is recorded. Geographic Coverage
