Measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made during the RRS Discovery 191 research cruise as part of the Biogeochemical Ocean Flux Study (BOFS) in the North Atlantic during May and June 1990
Entry ID:
SOLAS_D191
Summary
Abstract:
This metadata entry refers to measurements of oceanic carbon dioxide made by Andy Watson and Peter Williams during the RRS Discovery 191 research cruise in the North Atlantic as part of the Biogeochemical Ocean Flux Study (BOFS). The cruise began on 12th May 1990 and ended on 6th June 1990 with a spatial coverage of +48N and +60N latitude and +17W and +22W longitude.
The data set consists of: -125 measurements of the partial pressure of carbon dioxide (pCO2) in the water column by gas chromatography; and, -65 measurements of the concentration of carbon (total inorganic) (TCO2) per unit volume of the water column (dissolved plus reactive particulate phase) by gas coulometry. See below for further details.
