Shuttle SBUV (SSBUV) Solar Spectral Irradiance V008 (SSBUVIRR) at GES DISC
Entry ID:
GES_DISC_SSBUVIRR_V008
Summary
Abstract:
Shuttle Solar Backscatter Ultraviolet (SSBUV) is flown on eight shuttle missions. SSBUV, a successor to the SBUV flown on the Nimbus-7 satellite, is nearly identical to the SBUV/2 instruments flying on the NOAA satellites.
The Shuttle SBUV (SSBUV) and NOAA-11 SBUV/2 instruments measured solar spectral UV irradiance during the maximum and declining phase of solar cycle 22. ... ![]()
