Description: GAWSIS is being developed and maintained by QA/SAC Switzerland in collaboration with the WMO GAW Secretariat, the GAW World Data Centres and other GAW representatives to improve the management of information about the GAW network of ground-based stations. The goal is to provide the GAW community and other interested people with an up-to-date, searchable data base of site descriptions, measurements programs and data available and contact people

Description: GOSIC provides access to data and information, and overviews of the structure
and programs for the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS), the Global Ocean
Observing System (GOOS), and the Global Terrestrial Observing System (GTOS).

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) works
in partnership with GCOS. The objectives of the GAW are to provide reliable
long-term observations of the chemical composition of the atmosphere, and to
organize assessments in support of formulating environmental policy. The GAW
monitoring program includes a coordinated global network of observing stations
with supporting facilities and a network of regional stations.

WMO has adopted GAWSIS as the official information system of GAW
