Summary
Abstract: The Surface Reference Data Center (SRDC) was established in
1987 to support the Global Precipitation Climatology Project (GPCP)
which is a subprogram of the Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment
(GEWEX).

The SRDC dataset was originally at the National Climatic Data Center
and has been recently relocated to the Environmental Verification and
Analysis Center (EVAC) at the University of Oklahoma. The data is
broken up into two files. The first file is a 2.5 X 2.5 degree
monthly gridded product for the Pacific Atoll. Included with this
dataset are Signal to Noise Ratio and Standard Error Estimates
data. This data may be downloaded from the SRDC Web site.

The second dataset is a 1 x 1 degree daily gridded product for
Oklahoma, USA. This data was collected by the Oklahoma mesonet
network.
