Summary
Abstract:
Soil samples were taken from Mount Fleming (00-01), Allen Hills (03-04) and the McKelvey Valley (07-08) to ascertain terrestrial biodiversity at the sites, as determined by molecular DNA techniques and/or mycological culturing. The isolated cultures and DNA sequences are maintained either at University of Minnesota or at University of Waikato.

Quality
The effluent is derived from treated human waste, liquid waste from kitchens and bathrooms, and limited volumes from workshops (contamination of the latter is usually minimal as it is cleaned of oil before discharge into the sewage system).
