Quality
Hourly data from proximal locations are graphed and compared to check that they
follow the same general trend. Outliers ("spikes" up or down) are identified and eliminated. Monthly manual readings taken at the same location are compared against the hourly readings to identify drift from calibration. Recorders consistently drifting > 0.1' are replaced as soon as practical. Data from these drifting recorders are either eliminated or adjusted - adjustment occurs only if a consistent trend of drift can be identified.
Access Constraints
Requests for data should be directed to the DWP Research Coordinator. Data will
be provided in electronic format.
