Summary
Abstract:
M5 - GOES 8 Visible and Infrared Images
The Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) conducted a major field research campaign in Nashville/Middle Tennessee area in June and July 1994 and 1995. The goal of this study was to improve scientific understanding of the processes that control the production and distribution of ozone in the troposphere. These data are a compilation of hourly GOES 8 hi-resolution visible (1 km) and IR (4 km) images collected during the 1995 Southern Oxidants Study (SOS) Nashville/Middle Tennessee Ozone Study. Visible images are provided for daytime hours only, and IR images are provided 24 hours per day. The study was conducted from June 22, 1995 through July 20, 1995. Geographic Coverage
