Abstract: The Tall Timbers Fire Ecology Thesaurus is available as a guide for doing keyword searches in the Fire Ecology Database. Notes in the thesaurus define how a particular term is used in the database. Broader, narrower and related terms are suggested for many of the keywords. Alternative keywords are suggested when a common term is not used in the database. The extensive number of keywords permits searches that are broad or narrow in scope. Scientific names of plant and animal species are also used as keywords that may be searched, although these are not included in the thesaurus. The thesaurus is approximately 70 pages.
