Summary
Abstract: OSSIM (Open Source Software Image Map) is a set of tools for performing image processing operations on raster-based geospatial data. It will leverage existing algorithms/tools/packages from the open source community in construction of the ultimate Remote Sensing/Image Processing/GIS package.

The software package consists of :
-software libraries,
-command line tools, and
-GUI applications.

Software Functions:
-Electronic light table,
-mosaicking,
-fusion,
-blending,
-feathering,
-arbitrary zooming and resampling,
-defining areas of interest,
-file conversions, and
-map reprojections
