The History Database of the Global Environment is an online inteactive map
provided by the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) service where users can view and print custom maps of world landuse and population data dating back to the 1700's . The thematic layers include Land Use data from 1750-1990, Population Density data from 1700- 1990 and Topographic data including world boundaries and water features.
