VISTAS runs only on a Sun Sparc Station using Sun Operating Systems
(OS) 4.1.x and Silicon Graphics Workstations using IRIX 5.1.x. Both operating systems also need X-Window Version 11 Revison 5. Minimum recommended memory is 32 MB. Disk space requirement will depend on the amount of data you wish to process locally. In order to obtain TOVS data, you need to be either connected to the or have an 8mm tape drive. There is also a possibility that TOVS Browse products will be distributed via CD-ROM.
