Summary
Abstract: DIME, the Delaware Internet-based Metadata Entry system, is a metadata
authoring tool based on the 1996 Metadata Entry System written by Doug Nebert

Description: The Delaware Geospatial Information Clearinghouse supports the coordination
efforts at the national level of the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC)
and the National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) and at the state level of
the Delaware Geographic Data Committee (DGDC).

Simply known as the "Delaware Clearinghouse", it is essentially a searchable
database of documentation and project descriptions of geospatial infromation
within Delaware. This documentation is better known as "metadata". Metadata
entries provide detailed descriptions of the content and sources of the data or
activity, often including direct hypertext links to the data sets or websites.

From this site, you can search or browse through the Delaware Clearinghouse
metadata, search other national and international clearinghouses, find help how
to create and maintain metadata, publish metadata to the Delaware
Clearinghouse, and much more. Most of the information contained within the
Clearinghouse have been contributed primarily by State and local government
agencies. However, we welcome and encourage contributions from all data
producers ? public, private, and individuals.

This Delaware Geospatial Information Clearinghouse gratefully acknowledges the
financial support provided by grants from the FGDC Competitive Cooperative
Agreements Program (CAP) and other funding from the University of Delaware.
