Summary
Abstract: Metavist 2005, a software tool for the metadata archivist, is used to create metadata compliant with two of the Federal Geographic Data Committee (FGDC) metadata standards; "FGDC Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata" (FGDC 1998) and "FGDC Biological Data Profile of the Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata" (FGDC 1999).
