Technical Information
REV gets all of its data from the IRIS DMC through the Fissures/DHI service. It uses SOD to gather and choose the data for viewing. REV only allows earthquakes greater than 5.5 magnitude for worldwide earthquakes and greater than 3 magnitude in the United States. Its stations are limited to those in the IU, II, IC, and US Networks, and all stations in USArray. Seismograms are only presented if they pass a signal to noise calculation and various filtering is done before presenting them in REV. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to email us at rev@seis.sc.edu
