Living Oceans Online is a map-enabled Web site and Internet portal that the Towson University Center for GIS (TU-CGIS) developed for the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation. The Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation's mission is to conserve and restore living oceans through research, education, and a commitment to Science Without Borders. The Foundation supports and participates in extensive mapping of various coral reef ecosystems and recognizes that marine science knowledge management requires GIS capability to produce a suite of value-added products and habitat maps for public release.
