RECESS: A computer program for analysis of streamflow recession
Entry ID: USGS_RECESS
Summary
Abstract:
The RECESS program, a computer program for analysis of streamflow recession, is used to determine the recession index and to define the master recession curve from analysis of streamflow records. The program scans the streamflow dataset, finding periods of continuous recession. When a segment is found, the program user can decide whether it should be analyzed and, if so, which parts represent near-linear conditions that can be used to quantify the recession index.
