Abstract:
Eco-Tools is a web-accessible means of performing commonly-needed and useful
calculations in ecology and conservation biology. No special software is required, and all algorithms are open-source and based on standard references. Some of the Eco-Tools available are: * Life Tables - Life Table Calculations (v1.1.1) * Population Timeseries - Autocorrelograms and Power Spectra (v1.1.1) * Population Genetics - F-statistics (v1.1.1) * Population Viability Analysis (PVA) - Simple Count-Based PVA (v1.1.1) * Species Diversity - Estimating Species Richness (v2.1.1) I * Ordination - Canonical Methods: RDA and CCA (v0.1.1) In * Taxonomic and Phylogenetic Autocorrelation - Moran's I (v0.1.1) http://www.eco-tools.net

Quality
The site is, in many ways, a prototype. The PVA tool comes closest to what I
envisage for the site as a whole. Eco-Tools is intended to be an evolving resource based on input from the ecology and conservation community. Your comments, corrections and suggestions are welcome. See the Contributing link for details.
Use Constraints
If you use an eco-tools module, please e-mail admin@eco-tools.net and tell us
(as briefly as you can) what you used and why. It will help us develop the site!
