Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Imagery Support
Entry ID: USDA_BAER
Summary
Abstract:
The Burned Area Emergency Response (BAER) Imagery Support program is a
cooperative effort between the USDA Forest Service Remote Sensing Applications Center and the US Geological Survey EROS Data Center. They provide delivery of Burned Area Reflectance Classifications (BARC), and other geospatial data to Forest Service and DOI BAER teams. A Burned Area Reflectance Classification (BARC) is a satellite derived map of postfire condition. The BARC has four classes: high, moderate, low and unburned. It is available in both raster and vector format. [Summary provided by the USDA.]
