Summary
Abstract: The Prompt Assessment of Global Earthquakes for Response (PAGER) system provides estimates of the number of people and the names of cities exposed to severe shaking following significant earthquakes worldwide. Links to PAGER results for earthquakes occurring within the last seven days are contained in the map and table below. The earthquakes are color coded by the maximum Modified Mercalli Intensity (MMI) estimated to have been experienced by at least 1000 people. Information on the extent of shaking will be uncertain in the minutes and hours following an earthquake and typically improves as additional sensor data and reported intensities are acquired and incorporated into models of the earthquake's source. Users should always seek the most current PAGER version for any earthquake.
