Summary
Abstract: The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) Daily Wildland Fire Update is updated daily during the fire season. A summary reviewing the overall national wildland fire situation and expected fire weather conditions is provided. The statistics section provides daily and year-to-date statistics: the number of new large fires, number of active large fires, and the states reporting active large files.

The State-by-State Summaries provide a listing of the Number of Fires, Acres, New Fires, and fires contained for each state. In addition, a summary of the state's largest fires is presented. There are also links to additional wildland fire-related information.
