Abstract: "VORSIM - A Model Building Framework for Microsoft Excel" is a computer program
which helps the user build and simulate mathematical models in the Microsoft
Excel spreadsheet. VORSIM can be used to build time series models with tags,
static partial equilibrium economic models, engineering process models, or
business plan models for sensitivity analysis of key assumptions. VORSIM is
especially ... useful for the construction of large spreadsheet models with groups
of standardized equation structions. Since models and associated files created
by VORSIM reside in spreadsheets, all of the capabilities of Excel are
available for model building. Successful VORSIM modeling requires spreadsheet
skills and knowledge about mathematical models.

Use Constraints Computer Requirements for VORSIM, version 6: Fast (Pentium)
processor; Microsoft Windows 2000, ME, NT, 98 or 95; Microsoft
Excel XP, 2000 or 97; and at least 5 MB of hard disk space. Much
more storage space is required for the large models accompanying
VORSIM or for large ones you might build with VORSIM. VORSIM and
... accompanying models are installed from a CD and video tutorials are
run from a CD. The 3.5? floppy disk version can be purchased if
you do not have a CD reader but it does not contain extensive
tutorials or large ready-to-go models SWAG or DWAG.
