Summary

Abstract: Dr. William Menke's Plate Motion Calculator allows users to calculate
spreading rates for the world's major ridges using NUVEL-1 Plate Velocity
Parameters. To make the calculation, users choose the tectonic plate of
interest and the plate relative to which it is moving, and then, enter the
location (latitude & longitude) of a point on (or near) the spreading center
between those plates. The calculator is available at:
