DUCKDATA is distributed via world-wide web and anonymous ftp servers, although
diskettes can be provided upon request to customers lacking Internet access. Staff at the U.S. Geological Survey's (USGS), Biological Resources Division (BRD), National Wetlands Research Center (NWRC) in Lafayette, Louisiana, and the USGS, Patuxent Wildlife Research Center, Vicksburg, Mississippi, are pleased to make this data base available to interested users.
Use Constraints
To download DUCKDATA files, users must have a decompression program such as
PKZIP (http://www.pkware.com/). Once decompressed, the files lose the .ZIP extension and regain their original extensions. The entire database can be downloaded and used with ProCite version 3.4 for Windows, a bibliographic software package available from Research Information Systems (2355 Camino Vida Roble, Carlsbad, CA 92009; phone 800-722-1277; email procite@ris.risinc.com; web page http://www.procite.com).
