Abstract:
Owsview is a web-based thin client which supports discovery, access and visualization of supported specifications of the OpenGIS Consortium (OGC) and Canadian Geospatial Data Infrastructure (CGDI) endorsed specifications, such as Web Map Service (WMS), Web Feature Service (WFS), Web Coverage Service (WCS), Styled Layer Descriptor (SLD), Web Registry Service (WRS), Web Map Context Documents, Catalog Service, Gazetteer Service, Sensor Collection Service (SCS) and the GeoConnections Discovery Portal API (searching for products and services). owsview also exemplifies the benefits of a standards based services for chaining between services for discovery, access and visualization of information holdings.
