Summary
Abstract: TERRASERVER from Microsoft, this intriguing site allows users to zoom and pan
USGS aerial photographs and topographic maps at a variety of scales. A unique
site feature is the posting of  demographic, crime, education, health and
safety, economy, housing, transportation, income, and cost of living data
relating to the zip codes associated with particular topographic maps. The
variety of data available at this site provide a great opportunity for
bolstering map readings skills while investigating land use, landforms, and a
variety of social and economic data.
