Abstract:
MICROBIS is the data management to support the International Census of Marine Microbes. It is an environment that is capable of handling information that identifies groups of microbes (whether the information be traditional descriptions or molecular markers), information about location, chemical and physical characteristics of the habitats from which samples are taken. It includes old (legacy) data as well as newly emerging information. These data were collected with various methods. Including molecular DNA extraction and fingerprinting. We welcome input from possible contributors and users of the information.
Use Constraints
Acknowledge the use of specific records from contributing databases in the form appearing in the 'Citation' field thereof (if any); and acknowledge the use of the OBIS facility.
