CAML synoptic network of top predators observations was offered to RBINS by the International Polar Foundation during the Cape Town-Antarctic voyage of the relief ship Ivan Papanin which will bring construction materials to the new Belgian Antarctic “Princess Elisabeth station” to Queen Maud Land. Observations of birds and marine mammals will be systematically conducted onboard according to the protocols established by CAML. Quantitative and qualitative data will be reported to CAML and made publicly accessible through the SCAR-Marine Biodiversity Information Network (http://www.scarmarbin.be).
