Summary
Abstract: The study of the effects of UV-B radiation on key organisms of the
marine ecosystem (phytoplankton and bacteria) is studied. Some
parameters measured are primary production, growth, survival,
photoprotective substances synthesis, photosynthetic pigments, and species
composition. This research is coupled with the study of the induction
of oxidant photo-products from photochemical dissolved organic matter
reactions, water column bio-optics and oceanography.
