The oceanographic campaign is framed in the international Ocean Drilling
Program (OPD). It was focused on the recovering of bottom marine sediments to
rebuilt the ocean history and the terrestrial dynamics in general.
7 stations were researched from 40ºS to 55ºS, to analyze the chalky nanofossils
registered in the sediments.
In the Leg 177 were taken 10,000 cores.

... campaña oceanografica se encuentra enmarcada en el programa internacional
Ocean Drilling Program (ODP), y se centro en la recuparacion de sedimentos del
fondo marino para la reconstruccion de la historia del oceano y de la dinamica
terrestre en general.
Se realizo una investigacion en siete estaciones desde los 40ºS a 55ºS, con el
cometido de analizar los nanofosiles calcareos registrados en los sedimentos.
En el Leg 177 se extrageron 10,000 muestras de testigos.
