Abstract:
Measurements of the stable carbon composition of carbon dioxide (13CO2) are collected by small dry whole air samples (2L) annually (between 12 to 18 samples since March 1997) by a pump system from Arrival Heights, dried using magnesium perchlorate and analysed to determine 13C/12C isotopic ratio of carbon dioxide. Sample collection is aimed at the clean sector of the sky from the West through North to East, throughout the year. The measurements can be used to determine the source and sink processes of carbon and are traceable to IAEA standards.
