Abstract:
A series of quantitative sea bottom grab samples were collected from the benthos in the area of McDonald Beach and north to the ice cliffs, Cape Bird. Samples were collected from between 25 and 200m in depth with 7 samples in total analysed to determine the structure and diversity of the bottom community. The sampling was extended to Cape Hallett and Perseverance Harbour, Campbell Island for comparisons with Cape Bird.
