Abstract:
Seasonal behaviour of soil water content cannot be determined from short term periodic site observations but instead by continuous monitoring. In order to attempt to look at this question, a datalogger was installed in the field and left over the winter to make measurements of soil temperature and moisture, several times a day at 6 depths (5-55cm) at Marble Point.
