Abstract:
Endoliths were collected from the Battleship Promontory, Allan Hills area. Endoliths were search for with a geo pick and recorded notes from each collection site was recorded. 35mm pictures and digital video of the operation was collected as well. All samples were sized with a small chisel and bagged and labelled. The samples were taken from two area about 30m apart and from numerous sites of boulders or slabs the size of which was recorded.
Quality
The samples were sent to Dr David Wynn-Williams at the British Antarctic Survey. Dr Wynn-Williams has since passed away and the whereabouts of the samples are unknown. Contact the BAS for more information.
