Abstract:
The margins of the Wright Lower, Victoria Upper and Suess glaciers were surveyed using a pulse Ekko GPR. The GPR survey of the morphology and structure of the apron of the Victoria Upper glacier was conducted using 18 lines crossing the glacier-lake contact and 4 lines from the glacier surface. The GPR survey of the margin of the Wright Lower glacier was conducted using 10 lines crossing the glacier-lake contact and 5 lines crossing the ice cored moraines. A radio echo sounder and GPR surveys, arranged parallel and transverse to the ice flow direction, were also completed at the Wright Lower glacier. Laser scanning was completed at the termini of the Suess glacier to create a 3D survey of the glacier margin.
