Abstract:
The CORINE Land Cover Project for Ireland was implemented in the framework of a
unique transborder co-operation involving survey teams from the Republic of
Ireland and Northern Ireland (UK). There are 15 sheets covering all Ireland at
1:100 000 scale. These were derived from 6 complete scenes and 1 floating
quarter scene from the Landsat TM. Landsat data was acquired between 1989
(May), 1990
... (April, May). Ancillary data included aerial photography (scale
1:30 000), topographic maps, thematic Environmental/Conservation reports, soil
and vegetation maps. Projection is Transverse Mercator. Classification is to
CORINE LEVEL 3.
