Summary
Abstract: Populations of many amphibian species, in a variety of habitats, are in severe
decline, while others show no apparent declines. Ultraviolet-B radiation (UVB)
has been suggested as a contributing factor. Amphibians at high altitudes
(above 1500 m) are exposed to higher levels of UVB than at lower altitudes. In
