Abstract:
Two stream were examined for the rates and directions of transformation of nutrients, Green Creek and Canada Stream. Both of these streams drain into Lake Frxyell in the Taylor Valley. Each stream was mapped and the cover of cyanobacteria recorded at a series of transects along the length. Streams were divided into representative reaches and samples taken at the junction of each of these reaches. Samples were collected for the determination of fine and coarse particulate N and P as well as dissolved organic and inorganic species.
