Abstract:
Soils in the region of the Robert Scott Glacier was surveyed and sampled. This project was undertaken in conjunction with work by R Katz and B Waterhouse from Geological Survey. The sites visited include Mt Mooney, La Gorce Basin, Mt Blackburn, Mt Russell, Griffith Glacier and Long Valley, Mt Zanuck and Zanuck Basin, Danfarth Ridge and O'Brien Peak.

The Ross Sea Region Soils database, run by Landcare Research, New Zealand, stores information on soil site and soil pit horizon data from 35 years of soil studies by the investigators and their associates. There are >900 sites in the database but they are currently not sorted.
