Abstract:
The Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory (MAGNT) collections place
the region's art, history and culture, and natural history in an Australian and
international context through research, interpretation and collection
development. The MAGNT collections consist of over 30 000 items of art and
craft and material
... culture, and an estimated 1.2 million natural history
specimens. These collections are a permanent record of the history, artistic
diversity, biological wealth and natural and cultural heritage of the Northern
Territory and the region. MAGNT provides data to the Online Zoological
Collections of Australian Museums (OZCAM) and from there to OBIS Australia and
OBIS.
