Abstract:
The surface pressure data resides in 1 book, 'Pression Atmospherique
en Pologne et e Europe' (C/dbb G661P) and is written in French and
Polish. The data contained in this book are tables of monthly and
annual surface pressure for cities in Poland, Eastern Europe, and
Western USSR from 1851 to 1910. The pressure parameters include the
following: monthly and annual mean; monthly and annual
... deviation from
normal; mean annual variability; and monthly mean for latitude bands.
Mean annual variability is for each individual year, and mean pressure
values for each global latitude band are averaged over the period,
while the rest of the parameters included in these data are for
individual years and averaged over the period.
This book is part of the foreign meteorological data collection held
by the NOAA Central Library in Washington, DC. Information in this
collection dates back to the 18th century for daily, monthly,
seasonal, and annual tabular summaries, and the 19th century for
weather maps. These data are the result of foreign exchange
agreements, but the collection has not been updated since 1983.
